Yes, bfr. Listen to them. Tell THEM you'll make an exe when, when I told you to make it an exe, you said, "people can open it as it is, but with a basic editor"

I'm going to make it a standalone .exe file!
Wat to modify my post and your post to make us both look dumb. =P
EDIT: Just kidding ^_^

Ok, I'm sorry. If it's a plain exe file, then it's OK.

But right now, the .exe file isn't working. But it's in progress.

Hell no! You have to install "Just Basic" to run this!

There is a (buggy) .exe version and a (really buggy) .bat version.

And remove the dependency on "Just Basic" or release the source code.

You can download a different basic editor though. Most basic editors support the style of basic I used.

If you know C and Python, why not just write it with one of those? Those are real languages with good GUI libraries.

Exactly, why BASIC at all?

Anykey makes a strong point. BASIC may be simple, but it isn't too good, and there are better free HTML editors out there written in C.

Right...

Anyway, there isn't really a huge need to have it in a more advanced language if it's going to have the same features.

but it does have to remove its dependency on a specific program.
