Is anyone familiar with the "Huber" series on ticalc.org? All of the games in the "Huber" series so far are sort-of-RPGs and your name is Huber. But I'm making a new "Huber" game with new capabilities, such as having cars and racing.
"Huber" is a legendary warrior who lived a long time ago (although the setting is modern) and each game is supposed to be a sectiion of his life. "Ultimate Huber" is the best version so far (but maybe not when I finish my version, and you could make your own versions too). I'm going to try to get it on ticalc.org (after asking the author of the "Huber" series if it was OK that I made my own version). It should be ready by October (if I have a lot of time) of right before Christmas (yes, I'm planning on having it be SO good that it is going to take about THAT long). I'll try to send a screenshot every once in a whlie (when I learn how and have the time). You all are probably working on programs too...(well I know bcherry is working on that tight/cool Metroid game, Vladik is working GTA, Kevin is probably programing, Simon might be working on something...)

I'm sure that the TI community is looking forward to a new "Huber", whatever it is...

it is an RPG (or so it says...) where you are a warrior and can do a lot of stuff! Good graphics too!

ASM or BASIC?

In BASIC (I know you are prejudice against BASIC games...) but it is fast and has good graphics.

Not at all! BASIC games are fine...

Yes; BASIC games can be good. There are actually many methods to make good graphics and quick sdisplaying within a BASIC program, and it usually doesn't take a long time to program BASIC programs (unless, well you all probably now some possibilities...).

In other words, you can program a BASIC game very quickly and inefficiently...

and EFFICIENTLY. You obvously don't know the many FAST BASIC games out there with GOOD GRAPHICS. Yes, I know that in asm and TI-GCC you can make programs many times better, but I think you are underestimating the language of BASIC. Either that, or I'm overestimating BASIC.

I think BASIC is alright for a beginner, but you must realize that you just need to move on. IF you don't see that, then you're doomed!!!

That's why I am learning z80 asm and TIGCC C in addition to TI-BASIC

I'm learning Z80 asm (I'm getting pretty good...) but I need a 68k for TI-GCC.

So; did you program a simple program in ASM yet?

Nope. I actually didn't think of doind that; I was just going to go straight into complex programs when I'm done understanding asm well.

You should've made several simple practice programs to see if you could *ACTUALLY* program!

Yeah but, [check PM].

You could simulate the program on VTI...

...if my mom allows me to use VTI (see section where I explain my moms protective ways...).
