If anyone (namely bfr) is interested in learning C for the 68k calcs, let me know. I might be interested in doing an interactive tutorial on this forum, because I am looking for a good reason to get back into TIGCC programming. Maybe you can learn enough to write SimCity...

Yes. Please make a tutorial, as this will increase website traffic. If your tutorial is good, I'll make a "Tutorial" section that's just for tutorials!

Lol. What I mean is that I will create a step by step tutorial in this forum, for anyone who wants to learn and they can ask questions at each step. I'm not going to write a tutorial and post it here if there is no interest, and I'd like to be able to communicate with the learner as I go. Anyways, first I need interest from someone who wants to learn. And then I'm going to have to figure out how much I remember...

Well I would be interested in a tutorial! Just out of curiousity, who old is everyone on this site? I just turned 12.

OK, so to start off the tutorial, we need to make sure you have the proper tools. Go here and download tigcc: www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/118/11873.htmlThen you need to get Virtual TI, our emulator so we don't crash real calculators. Go here: www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/84/8442.htmlThen you will need a ROM image for the 89, 92+, and v200. Email me for that when you have those other things. When you install TIGCC, make sure you check the box to "include exepack compression" Although we will not be using that in any of the programs we will write during this tutorial, it will come in very handy later. Post back when you have this and give me your email so I can send you the ROM images.

Hmm. I don't believe that a V200 ROM image is in existence...

I have one, but now that you mention it, I remember that it doesnt work with vti.

Yes, but a V200 ROM image isn't necessary; games that have V200 versions also (mostly) have TI-92+ versions.

Also the calculators are the same (the memory's different).

But I believe that there are 3 V200-specific programs (2 games and V200 Exexecutable Patcher).

No, you do not. TIGCC is an application for Windows that allows you to write and compile your programs. VTI is an emulator for you to test your programs on an imaginary calc so you theoretically dont need a calc of your own at all.

Sounds like it. Well, I could go on and on about the impossiblity of there being a virus in the software. I could also extol the character building virtues of programming experience, especially at your age. Might not help change her mind though.

There is DEFINITELY no virus.
Just tell her that I downloaded it without getting a virus.
The programs on ticalc.org are 100% safe; they are scanned before they are submitted to the file archives.
