of course! Well, bosses are undecided yet, because they may be fairly difficult to implement, but I'll try my best. There will definitely be many fully animated and smart enemies. And, true to super metroid, you will have regular beam, charge beam, probably at least one of wave, spazer, plasma, and missiles/super missiles, bombs and powerbombs. Most likely. No guarantees, but that entire list should be there when I'm done. And Vladik, the tile engine supports any tiles, even ones with oddly shaped or curved surfaces. Theoretically it will support the destruction of some tiles as well, plus rooms will be connected by doors as in Super Metroid.

when its done. There will be a beta release when the engine is done, within the next few weeks probably. I hope that I can get users of the beta to submit map designs for the final release.

The character is Samus Aran, a bounty hunter. She is on the planet Zebes. She wears a "power suit" that gives her ridiculous jumping abilities and a gun on her arm. It also lets her morph into a little ball to fit in tight spaces, and in that form she drops little bombs. The bombs make her bounce. In super metroid, you could bomb jump like that forever, not just two, and thats the game im going by. Also, if you're interested, those enemies are known as "wavers". Probably next I'll make geemers, rippers, space pirates, and maybe side hoppers. Plus then I've got to touch up the physics and the graphics, and add health, and more weapons. Then I've got to make doors and save points. Then make sure there are energy and ammo pickups, then I should be set for the first private beta release, which you are all invited to, just email me and i'll add you to the list. For now, first 10 emails to come in get in on the first beta, and eventually I will have a beta freely available on ticalc.org and calcgames.org.

It's been a while since my last update. Those of you in the beta should have just recieved an email, containing a playable demo. The rest of you will have to deal with this screenshot:
