Umm, doesn't it already do that? You mean if you hold jump you'll jump again when you hit the ground? If so, then no. No way will I do that. Trust me on this.

You have modified the bomb activation interval and removed the "hold and bomb" feature, so you cannot hold the bomb button and "fly".

I know. If you want to do the bomb jump, you have to press it fast yourself, just like in super metroid. I have removed all key repeat features, for the most part, and with good reason. The one exception is it repeats beams and missiles, unless you have the charge beam, in which case it charges the beam.

If you could just hold down fire and do the bomb jump forever, it would be pointless. You shouldnt get for free stuff that would normally require hi-jump boots or wall jump skill. If you can press the button fast enough, then you deserve the results.
If holding down jump made you jump again, and you were trying to jump to a really high platform and could barely make it, you would probably still be holding jump down at the top, and then jump again, not good.
The whole point is to make this a skill based game, you need to actually work to play this game, and the results will be well worth it. If you are too lazy to actually press a button more than once, then maybe this isnt your kind of game.

As I said, you modified the bomb interval so fast pressing does not work. Also, you said something about high-jump boots when you could already jump to the top in the latest beta!

You clearly arent pressing fast enough. I can do the bomb jump just fine. And about the boots, the current jumping height is assumed to have the boots on. Without them you would jump less. I might cut the current jumping down a bit too, though.

I see you have a new personal picture. Also, machinary code IS NOT asm. I checked. The levels are:
machinary code
asm
java, C, etc.
I'm really sure.
bcherry, is "Metroid" continuous, or does it have multiple levels woth pauses in between, or something else?

Metroid is not like mario, in that it is a series of single levels you play through once. It is an entire world divided into rooms, that you can explore at your will, limited by the ability of samus to surpass obstacles (ie. a door that is up so high you need space jump to get to it).
And yes, machine code is under asm. Machine code is 0s and 1s.
