Okay, I'm working on a cross-platform application called CalcStat. It's like TiReport, only it's an actual stand-alone program written in 100% Python. Would anyone use it? What features would you like it to do? I want it to be as user-friendly as possible!

I would almost definately want it. Vladik probably would too, and would probably be glad to help.

www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/300/30075.htmlThe reason I'm remaking it is because it's GUI is ugly and hard to use, and it shows the files for the guy who wrote it when you first run it. Should I have it so that when you click on a file it opens a browser window? I really don't think it would be useful, and I'm too lazy to add it.

You could add "Ranking in your files"...

Maybe you could add bonus sorting features, etc.? Vladik probably has some suggestions...again, I'd like to download your version.

How far did you get? And I have an idea. You could make a TICALCS Forum Report. That would be pretty cool... (at least I think so). While we are on that subject, you could make a report that works on ANY proboards forum when you input the username and the address... just some suggestions...

Well, don't expect my project to be done until sometime in the summer (I can't get any serious coding done with school). I'm working on writing objects that anylize the HTML and return data (rankings, names, URL's, ect.) and I haven't really done anything with the GUI (sorting will be included!;D). As for the ProBoards thing, It looks like a cool idea, but I wouldn't be able to start on anything that big for a while! I'm going to see how CalcStat turns out first, and then get started. Thanks for the great feedback!

How about if I make you a Moderator. Or how about if you get younglinke to send me some of his grandma's cookies. (protonpower89 and Vladik, you know what I'm talking about)

Okay, I am currently working on the piece of code that retrieves ALL of the reviews for a given file. This involves checking for reviews, looking to see how many, finding the link to the reviews if there are more than one, and retrieving all of them. Finals are almost over, so I will finally be able to work on it some more!
