What's kind of strange about java is that a java file's extention is .class You'd think it would be .java, .jav or something like that.

ummm, no. A java source file is .java, just like a c file is .c, a c++ file is .cpp, a asm file is .asm etc. The class is the compiled output, just like a compiled c program is .o.

What's kind of strange about java is that a java file's extention is .class You'd think it would be .java, .jav or something like that. That post was late at night and I wasn't thinking straight. Perl? It's a hard-to-learn server-side scripting language that combines some of the features of C and Javascript that many people just use PHP and javascript instead of it.
