The old rules set in January seemed a little bit outdated, so I decided to revise them. They will be updated as necessary.
Common Courtesies
- Please obey the ProBoards Terms of Service
1. Do not post violent or sexual content that is rated "4-5" on the V/S scale.
V/S Scale: (exceptions apply)
1: Displays very low violence and no sexuality.
2: Displays violence and no sexuality. Violence at a low degree such as a small punch or something like that. No blood showing.
3: Moderate Violence, like a cut or wounds such as in a sword fight. No sexuality.
4: High Violence. Low sexuality.
5: Extreme Violence. High Sexuality.
IF YOU BELIEVE THAT YOUR PICTURE IS IN THE 4-5 RANGE, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM POSTING IT. ALL QUESTIONABLE PICTURES WILL BE RATED BY THE ADMINISTRATOR OR MYSELF.
2. Please refrain from profane language such as:
SH*T
F**K
A*S
or any other word that is censored. (those were not spelled out because of censoring) Also, if you post those words (modified), it counts as a swear.
3. When commenting about someone's calculator program or giving advice about anything else, please give constructive criticism instead of flaming.
PENALTIES WILL BE GIVEN AS THE STAFF SEES FIT. SHOULD A STAFF MEMBER COMMIT A VIOLATION, THE ADMINISTRATOR WILL HAND DOWN THE PUNISHMENT.
EVERYTHING ELSE SHOULD BE COVERED IN THE TERMS OF SERVICE OR IN THE DEBATE RULES. HAVE A NICE DAY
4. DO NOT FLAME/INSULT ANY MEMBERS (instead, use constructive criticism), EVEN IF YOU ARE A STAFF MEMBER!
An example of flaming/insulting: "You suck. Your signature is really lame. If I could, I'd ban you from this forum." THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE! Instead, say this: "Let's try to get along better, okay? I don't think that the colors in your signature go together well. Please stop being mean to me (I can report you to a Moderator).
IT TAKES MORE TIME TO TYPE, BUT IT IS BETTER!
5. DO NOT ARGUE WITH ANY STAFF MEMBER ON THE SUBJECT OF THEIR POWERS! INSTANT WARNING.
6. Do not make multiple posts! Especially if you are a staff member.
For repeat offenders, there will be greater consequences...
NOTE: Rules 4 through 6 were set down by Vladik.
