For now it's an unnoficial project because I don't know how slow it will turn out when I'll add monsters and other stuff (right now it runs at 3.5 fps on my regular 83+) and I don't know in which game I'll use this engine but I hope to rfinish it.

I hope that you'll use this engine in a game, because it seems to be good for an arcade-action type of game.

I'm l :)king 4ward -> 2 it. (I like doing that ). Also, Kevin, I downloaded mlc from your website. It seems pretty good so far but it won't run one of the extra programs, test, because of something about a wrong operator. But I checked yor instrauctions and everything seemed perfectly fine. The operator was #DATA

Hmm, I got this problem too. Maybe the test program is just for testing the programming language, or maybe it's for debugging purpose and they forgot to delete it. A TI-83+ version is now being developped. I hope it come out soon because I don'T have a TI-86 and a Casio AFX and I would try to make a small game in it. Too bad it's limited in memory, I can't make a RPG with it. as for my engine I decided to make something with it: Of course it's not pure basic since I use ASM libs but I felt like using them to have great graphics.

The engine update is, like all of your programs, amazing.
Could you port MLC to the 68K series? Or at least run it by me so I could make a version in TIGCC?

I don't think there is a 68k mlc version yet . But the Z80 version is good. ;D

MLC is not made by me. 4nic8 is actually making MLC for both Casio Afx and 68k series, the_unknown_one, gympynerd are making it for the 83 and burntfuse is making it for the 86. Unfortunately 4nic8 haven'T coded much lately . I would have liked to help in the project but I don'T know any Asm and C is impossible on the z80 series

I hope that 4nic8 finishes it...

I'd like to see the new MLC for the Z80s that was mentioned in the readme I think.

That would be cool, although I don't have a 68k. I am waiting for the improved version of mlc for z80s.

Yeah. Well the TI-86 is a Z80 calc...

I don't know. TI is not under pressure to release new functions (think the cellphone race. Every mont, there is at least one new cell phone. First, cellphone were big and had only a numerical display. Then, they got small black-and-while displays. Then, they got slightly smaller. Then, they got a address/phone number book. Then, they got color. Then, they got flip phones. Then, they got cameras. To support these cameras, they got large amounts of memory and picture messages. Somewhere around this time, they got the wireless web. Then, they got voice dialing. Then they got video, which brought video messages. Also, somewhere along the way, they got ringtones. Now, you can have a real MP3 play in almost-stereo sound on your cell. You can actually use it as a MP3 player! (If the memory permits...) People []WANT[/u] newer cellphones!) Now let's look at TI. You can actually use a TI-81 in your calculus class. You don't need the newer calculators. They do not have any amazing new features, such as ringtones, color screens, or cameras. On the other hand, you can't use a 1985 cellphone on one of today's networks. The networks use much different protocols. People can use calculators in harmony (you can still use your vintage four-function while someone uses their Voyage 200), while they can't use cellphones. Cellphone makers realize that they need to make different cellphones to be used on different networks. But TI does not need to make new calculators. It only releases new calculators to please users. That is why TI will no make new calculators in the near future.
SUMMARY: TI does not need to make new calculators because you do not necessarily need ne calculators for advanced classes as you would need new cellphones for new services. Also, there is no competition bettween calculator makers, such as TI and HP.

Was that expository or persuasive? I think persuasive. Anyway, I am hoping for a flip-calc, the Voyage 300 Gold Edition (or something like that) that has:
Color Built-in Asm Link ports for all 68k calcs Built-in Sound 7x more RAM than the V200 with Flash Ram too Built-In TI-GCC (after the guy that made it submitted it to TI) Better resolution

*COUGH* Dream On! *COUGH*
As I explained in my little rant, TI has no reason to do this. While Motorola has competion with Nokia, and is pressured to release better cellphones than Nokia, TI does not have any *real* competition. Also, the calculator market is limited to high school/college students. If you have a *real* job (defined as one that makes you *real* money), why other buying a graphing calculator when you could buy a pocket PC? There is a graphing and mathematics software for Windows CE (which is better than Windows Mobile), AND there are thousands of other applications-*real* applications such as Pocket Excel and Pocket Word and Media Player made by big-time companies such as Microsoft. And there are games in full color, that take up megebytes upon megabytes of memory. This shows that if you have the money, buy a Pocket PC instead of a calculator...
Yet another rant.

Imagin how much money TI would make though if they released the V300 Gold Edition in 5 years! I would relly want to buy it. Also, it would be 3 times (u heard me) faster than the V200.
