By that time, cellphones would have 20 times more memory and they would be 5 times faster (you heard me).

But seriously, TI should make some type of "Gold Edition" calc. I'm not saying soon; they could make it in 2-3 years, maybe even up to 5 (but preferably 2-3 years). A new calc (not some titainium or platimum of plus) like a V300 should be maybe. Also, see my post that explanins what the Voyage 300 Gold Edition should be like. Maybe it should just be called the V300+ instead.

As I said, TI has nothing to gain by doing this.

Here is an example of a good calc, the V500:
Everything the same as the V300+ (see one of my previous posts for details) Internet Built-In sec instead of having to fo all of that other stuug with sin and cos. Faster Some other stuff

If you have internet, then it will not be a calculator, so it will not be allowed in math class/on tests. "Cricket"? What does that mean? The Voyage 200 already has: - Sine
- Cosine
- Tangent
- Cosecant
- Secant
- Cotangent
- The opposite functions of the above (such as arcsine, arccosine, and so on)

i think the cricket noises were referring to the noises one hears in the woods at night when you are all alone.

yeah, but look under ti-83 and 83+ as well, because those should all run on the 84.

It should say "TI-84+ compatible" or "TI-84+ SE compatible" or something similar.

Also some TI-83+ games can be ported or something to the TI-86 I think.

Who knows if tibbs will come back, but yes most 83+/83+ SE games are compatible with th3 84+/84+ SE However, because some of the newer version of the 84+ series have crappier lcd screens, some games do not work properly. Here is a list of games that I have had not be playable: -Phantom Star -Fall Up -Older versions of the Doom Betas I think there is others, but there are probably a couple more. The latest Doom Beta works great, I beta tested version until we could find out a way to fix the lcd problem. Some have said Desolate doesnt work, but it works fine on my 84+ SE. There is also an lcd fixer made by one of the members of my programming group James M...it can be found at www.ticalc.org

I hope TI doesn't start messing up othe rnew calculators.....
What I really hate is that the TI-84+ SE's display rate is SLOWER than the TI-83+SE's display rate.

Indeed, TI wanted to save money and went for the cheaper option.
