In Chicago I visited this place where they use mainframes.

Was it a Macintosh?
Of course not!
It was just a mainframe.

Yeah, but I'm defending Macs and Mainframes, because apprently you hate them both. Mainframes have their advantages, just like Windows has its advantages.

OK, have you ever actually seen a Macintosh server or mainframe? NO! From that it seemed like you were saying something about mainframes....(besides that most people don't have one)

That goes double for me! Also, for the last time, Macs are used for different PURPOSES than PCs.

Macs are also good in the way that there are less viruses (if any =p).

They have a superior GUI that is easier to use. Did you know that MS just took the mac GUI and switched it around? That's why the window buttons are on opposite sides. Plus, with macs you can use the Unix shell for good old-fashoined commandline stuff. You may not see a point in it, but it's really handy. For example, what if you wanted to delete every file in a directory that ended with .html? With a GUI, you'd have to do that manually, but with a command line all you do is type in a command (I think it's "del *.html" for this case, but I'm not sure).

There IS command prompt, you know. And Macs have nithing close to a built-in registry editor, which lets you do lots of neat tricks on your computer, such as letting IE run in an effective kiosk mode (you can't open new windows, can't exit, etc.)

yeah, windows has a dos prompt. I'll admit that unix is superior to dos, but realistically it does not make a difference.
